She's in the bar. She has to get used to it. Mouse will be leaving. She will be watching the puppy.

She needs to manage to make it up the stairs. She needs to. To walk. Across the bar. She needs to walk to the stairs.

She could be in the process of a game of Freeze Tag with how quickly she's moving.

"Are you all right?"

Slightly tipsy Miniver at her side.

[lissla_lissar]

"Miniver." She says with a shuddering breath, "I promised. I don't like walls. I promised. I need to be able. To go upstairs."

[cheevy]

"Why?" Miniver headtilts at her. "You look scared." He's good at stating the obvious.

[lissla_lissar]

"Mouse's puppy. He needs to catch a murderer. The puppy is too young to be outside. I promised." She'd cling to him, if she could bear to touch another person.

[cheevy]

"Who's... what? Needs to do what?"

[lissla_lissar]

"Mouse. He catches murderers." She says, breathing slowly and carefully, "He taught us to butcher our deer."

[cheevy]

"And... so... how does that directly have any bearing on your being here with a puppy?"

[lissla_lissar]

"The puppy is his." She says quietly, "And the puppy is too young to be outside."

[cheevy]

This, thinks Miniver, is more confusing than it has any right to be.

"So why do you have it, then?"

[lissla_lissar]

"He had to go back. To catch a murderer." It makes sense to her.

[cheevy]

"So... waitaminute... you have Mouse's puppy because Mouse had to catch a rat but the puppy can't be where you usually are but you can't be where the puppy has to be?"

[lissla_lissar]

She thinks about that for a moment, "I have Mouse's puppy because Mouse has to catch a murderer, but it is too cold for the puppy outside so I need to make myself go upstairs."

[cheevy]

That's what he said! Only slightly more drunkishly!

"What's upstairs?"

[lissla_lissar]

"Mouse's room. The puppy's room." She says quietly, running her fingers through Ash's fur.

[cheevy]

"I could take him there if you want," Miniver suggests.

If the girl is wise, she will NOT AGREE TO THIS PLAN. Miniver has a hard time finding his way around a tree, not to mention his obvious state of slight inebriation.

"You're drunk." She says softly, "I need to do it. A week. I need to stay here for a week. I can."

She wants him to reassure her of this fact.
