Surely you didn't miss Santino moving into the bar, bringing with him a draught of thoroughly warm air before the door closed behind him.

He sat at an empty table, people-watching.

Agnes didn't miss him. She heads over to his table and politely asks, "Can I get you something?"

He looked up- dark, dark eyes on hers, and smiled.

"No, thank you. Are you busy, or would you care to chat?"

She looks around the room and shrugs.

"I haven't had a break tonight, so I suppose I can take one now."

"Don't let me force you." He replied, though he was still smiling.

"I'm Salvatore. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss...?"

"You can call me Angie," she replies. That last name of hers had to go. "And my feet could use the rest, since you're offering."

Agnes lets herself down (with an audible sigh) into a chair opposite him. "Thanks."

She nods. "Since Friday. It's only my second shift, in fact."

"Thanks!" she says with a grin. "It's too bad there aren't comment cards here you could fill out and give to my boss."

"I believe I've already met the man," Turning conspirational, he grinned and continued, "So next I seem him I shall just have to give a positive review of your performance, won't I?"

The grin turns into a small blush.

"That couldn't hurt. I have a pretty substantial tab to pay off, so finally having a job really helps."
