Belar's been busy out in the mountains. People've been using them, after all, so he really wants to make sure nobody gets hurt and stranded up there. It'd be seriously bad press if they did and nobody went to bring them back in. Now, though, he's in the Bar with his sign up as per usual

So Philippus settles in comfortably with her tea and waits for the duration of the sign.

When the sign counts all the way down, the top half vanishes in the usual spark of blue light and Belar opens his eyes. "Hey, Philippus," he greets the Amazon. "What's up?"

Anyway, Philippus smiles. "Good day. I'd been intending to ask about lessons; I went sledding and covered a good deal more of the mountain than I'd intended. When I wasn't covering less."

He asks Bar for some items he's left with her. A blue knit hat and scarf appear. Seymour looks at himself, then rushes out the Door, returning a moment later with his orange jacket and two threadbare gloves. He's dressed more for fall weather than winter weather, but it's all Seymour's got.
When Belar is done, Seymour will give him a wave. "So, uh, the prayer answering went well?" he inquires politely.

"I found a strange plant, y'see. I'm trying to figure out what it is. ...And keep it alive until I figure out what it is." His tone isn't brimming with optimism, but neither is it in the depths of despair. Seymour seesaws between the two emotions quite a bit, but right now his feelings are balanced.

What she's seeing there is up for debate, particularly since she doesn't seem to be focusing on the incrementally shifting count-down that's the one moving portion of the sign, but she seems interested.
