There's a girl a bit down the bar, writing in a notebook. She keeps writing, then scribbling things out, then taking a sip of a milkshake.
"Oh...damn," she says, after scribbling out for what seems the umpteenth time.
She blushes then, and looks around, seeing the woman just a distance away. She looks...vaguely familiar, but not really. She's probably seen her around the bar.
"Um...hi. Ever had one of those things that just wouldn't get written?"
"A few times," she grins. "I tried haiku, once. I never could get the syllables to line up right. My brother's much better at poetry than I am in general. Especially the structured kind."
"Well, right now, I'm Bound. I don't mind so much. I was Bound a lot longer a couple of years ago." Angela swings her feet a little. "At least being Bound gives me more chances to write."
Angela bites her lip a little and nods. She's shy about it, but she doesn't mind. It's mostly prose, sort of a sci-fi/fantasy adventure, and it's obvious she's having problems with it, as evidenced by the many cross-outs.
But the storyline is good, and the writing is excellent, so she gives the notebook over to her.

They've met once before, anyway.
Everyone meets her at least twice.

She just has to ask.

And Death grins back.
"Yeah. Not like this, though."

She smiles a little. This woman could be from any time and any place, and know her from...well, just about anywhere.
"Do you come here a lot?"

Upon reflection, Angela sometimes thinks that had been the worst part of being kidnapped. Not being able to write, or see to write, or...
Well, there had been a lot of things that had been bad about that situation.
