Not too far away, Jim Kirk is once again sitting at the window, watching the universe fold itself back up. He catches a glimpse of an(yet another) attractive woman, and nods a hello.

Ilyana caught the gesture just as she was lifting her gaze from the pad in front of her. First impulse was to smile, the second to look briefly over her shoulder to be sure he wasn't aiming for someone else.

"Good morning," he says brightly.

"Hello," and she set her pencil down. "So it is." She motioned to an empty chair. "Come sit, if you'd like. I was about to have breakfast..."

"If you don't mind the company." He comes over and sits.

"Jim Kirk, Earth, 23rd century."

[sosectu_rior]

"I don't mind. Are you hungry?"

"Ilyana ambrov Rior, also from Earth."

There is something familiar about that name. He thinks.

"Ambrov...that means something, right?"

She's a little surprised. "Yes. It's a word that means 'belonging to the Householding of', and Rior is my House."

"I beleive I have a friend from your world." He doesn't assume, though, that she wold know Suzi.

"My world, but not yours?
If you mean Suzi ambrov Keon, or Quinn, I've met Suzi." She smiled ruefully. "It was a bit of a shock to her...to say the least."

"Suzi is a good friend. But she hadn't told me that someone else from your world had arrived.

"And from the conversations that I've had with Suzi, it seems quite unlikely that your timeline grows from mine."

"It's not been all that long. And she may not see it as...Well. I'm not from her time, particularly. We managed to figure out that I came from about a hundred and thirty years after the year she left Keon."
