Steph drifts in from outside, looking unhappy, and settles into a seat at the Bar. She is followed by a kitten so tiny and wee that it's really just a scrap of fur with 'tude, which winds itself around her ankles as she slumps.

...Pikel happens to be nearby,sweeping up the remains of a magical accident, when he notices Steph and the look on her face... it kinda looks like fear...or caution, either way it has Pikel worried so he hauls his tree trunk club out from a pouch on his pack and walks over to stand at stephs side with a quizzical expression upon his face.

Scratching his head in confusion Pikel tilts his head to the side and stares at the strange silver obejct.

"Eh?"

"Don't. Touch. It," Steph repeats, and her normally light, cheerful voice is suprisingly Batman-like. Well, surprisingly for someone who doesn't know her.

When it shows no signs of exploding, she rises cautiously from her crouch, and gives it a wide berth.

"Bar - I need gloves. Gauntlets. And something - tongs, maybe."

Bar provides, and Steph, still ignoring Pikel mostly, leans cautiously towards the buzzer.

Pikel just stares, his gaze going from the strange metal thing, to Steph, back to the metal thing.

After a few times completing the circut Pikel shakes his head then spits into his plams and hefts his GIGANTIC club above his head aiming to smash the thing.

He will find a surprisingly strong arm blocking his way.

"Don't," Steph says, still without apparently looking at him, still in that steely voice. She reaches out with the other hand, now gauntleted, and prods it tentatively. When it doesn't bite, she picks it up.

Happening to walk by the bar is a convenient thing. If you could consider it convenient in this case - Riku's not sure about meeting a chick that apparently appears to be insane.

But, you never know. Even the smallest of objects hold some strange powers, in his world - ths could be along the same lines!

"You need help there?" He inquires, raising an eyebrow.

Steph continues to not take her eyes off it.

"Be careful," is all she spares attention to tell him. "If that's what I think it is, you don't want to even breathe on it wrong."

She taps the floor near it to see if the motion will make it do anything.

"Uh."

Riku eyes it warily, considering this warning.

"You want me to put a shield up?" he asks, finally.

Steph glances up at him, eyeing him up and down. She doesn't ask "Can you do that?" because this is Milliways, after all.

"Yes. Don't let anyone touch it. Don't give it to Bar."

A Bar infected with Joker poison would be ... well, a really awesome plotline, actually. But Steph doesn't think it'd be a good idea for some reason.

"Can you move it, without touching it?"

There may be an Atton, completely ignoring what Steph just said, and pulling it into his hand with the Force.
"Why aren't we supposed t'touch it?"

Steph jerks aside as it starts moving, and then tries to catch it with a plate. "Don't touch it!" she snaps again, in that Batman-like voice. And then, because it's Atton, she adds "Idiot."

IT COULD BE FROM THE JOKER. :O

"Why not?" Atton asks, letting it be caught by the plate. "And 'm not an idiot."

Steph tilts the plate so the little thing skids to a halt on the tippy surface without touching her.

"...right, you weren't born in Gotham."

That's as close to an apology as he's ever likely to get! Steph forgets that trick things are funny to other people. Bizarre.

"It's - Jokery."

Ichigo bends down as he approaches, scoops up the little fluffball in his arms, and tries not to look so amused when it does its best to scratch his nose.

"Hey there little fella." he says before turning his attention to her. "What's the matter with you?"

Both now and before. He saw her come in, after all.

Steph explains about the Joker thing, rescues the kitten, and doubtless exchanges snark. They can hardly not. Also she probably tells him the kitten's named Cass, whether it turns out to be a boy or a girl, and avoids the 'what's the matter' question entirely.
