April's downstairs in loose, soft-looking clothing, sitting gingerly on the couch. Her face is rather bright red.

As fun as her afternoon out of the bar with Cait had been... sunburns are no fun, even if it does give her an excuse to have her boyfriend rub aloe all over her.

Bother at will.

Boromir approaches her from behind and smoothes her hair down, placing a kiss at her crown. "How are you feeling?"

April doesn't crane her neck to look up at him - that'd hurt - so she just leans her head back into his touch a little bit. "A little worse." she admits. "But as I remember, that's generally how it goes."

"Are you drinking enough water?"

April nods to a mostly-empty. "Waitrats've been bringing me refills. I hope I'm not blistering."

She's not, thankfully.

He strokes under her hair--the least sunburned place on her. "That's good. The heat is coming off you like a fire."

"And here I thought it was just my innate sexiness." she murmurs, shifting carefully to lean against him. "If I'm so hot, why'm I freezing?"

It doesn't really register that it's the same principle as a fever, really...

"Because all your body heat is escaping you," he says soothingly and comes around the couch to sit next to her. "Here--as close as you can bear."

He's put on his softest clothes, so there shouldn't be any buckles or sharp points.

April's discovered that if she's uncomfortable and waits, she'll adapt and it'll pass. So she curls up against him, under his arm, thankful for the lack of pokey things.

"Stupid body heat." she shivers a bit. "It should have better things to do."

"Normally it does." He curls his arm around her. "Normally it keeps you warm rather than escapes."

"Well. It should do its job, then."

Yes, she sounds a little sulky. But she's cold and uncomfortable. She's allowed.

He makes a soft sympathetic sound and kisses the top of her head again. "It will, my dear."

No matter what the circumstances, it's hard to stay sulky when she's wrapped in Boromir's arms, and she sighs contentedly. "You make me very happy."

He smiles. "I try." She gets another kiss and he rests his chin on the top of her head.

"You'd do it even if you didn't try." she smiles. "Just... being with you..." she trails off, blushing (not that you can tell).

"Oh, I think the trying helps," he murmurs and kisses her again.

Kissing is good. gentle kissing.

...god, sunburns suck.

"It does. But it's not necessary."
