Sikozu was just passing through, really. She's not on duty officially tonight and she's been spending most of her time building that DRD. It's still not done.
But the suit makes her pause. "Lenny? Are you all right?"
Lenny grins and jumps up, offering her his seat. "Sure! Just waiting for my interview. Gotta make a good impression. How're you? How's that- what was it, DRD- how's that coming along?"
"Well, yeah-" He thumbs his... thumb at the blank wall. "Out there. But in here, I figure this'll help with the bills. Gimme something to keep me busy. And anyway, I haven't got the gig yet."
"Yep. I didn't tell you that yet, I'm guessing." Lenny traces a curvy path on the table with his finger, his chin in his palm. "If I were to get the job, I'll have some money for the chicks. I wanna build 'em a nice coup out back at some point- they're getting too big for the cage."
"I'm sure they'd like that, having room to run around." She smiles, patting his hand reassuringly. It seems she's been picking up some physical behaviours from her observations around the bar.
"Yeah. And I'll have to make sure it's enclosed, and there's a heating mechanism. Figure on getting some books soon so I can get going on it during spring. Don't want to let them go quite yet."
The hand-patting is nice. A sweet thing to do. And somewhere in a very deep part of Lenny's brain, a tiny bit awkward.
Lenny lights up at her sudden enthusiasm. "Sure! I'll be needing some books on heating, y'know, how to intergrate a heating source into a chicken coup. And stuff on electrical wiring."
But the suit makes her pause. "Lenny? Are you all right?"

"It is coming along. Robotics is not my strong suit so it is taking some time, but I will succeed." She smiles confidently. "Interview? What for?"
Reply
"Wait staff." One could mistake his enthusiasm for outright giddiness- and they'd be right.
"Hopefully I'll be gainfully employed, next time you see me."

But mostly it's just very sweet.

"You will need to do research?" She lights up. "I could help, if you like."

"I already know a little about electrical wiring. I've modified a few modules before."
Reply
"I'm not even gonna ask what modules are. If you help me, we'll share the chicks, how 'bout it. You'll be part-owner."

"Single person craft for space travel." She explains anyway. "That is really not necessary. The fun of it will be payment enough."

"Is it eating day?"
