Tersa's seated at a table near the back door. She's ordered hot coffee and 'pizza', which she's heard a few people mention. A travel bag is on the floor by her feet. She's nibbling at the food, while looking over a sketchbook beside her elbow.
She's left some extra coins with Bar to pay her tab, and against future need. She also left a book for Quinn Abercrombie, though not the one he may expect. When she goes back into Kaeleer, she'll see if the library at SaDiablo Hall has anything suitable. However, Tersa has enough wits to realize that stories featuring a (friendly) dragon are never what the man would want, and most of the Blood's written literature refers to Lorn or Draca.
So she leaves him a note to explain the substitution, and a copy of a book by someone named "Tolkien." She's never heard of "The Hobbit" before, but the chapters she had time to read made her smile. That's a good sign, no?
Come midnight, she'll be leaving awhile.
