Valerie hasn't really been down since she entered. Getting used to being healthy and in a new place took precedence -- and besides, she feels a little like the new kid at school.

Still, you can't stay in your room all the time. And it looks like there's something going on outside. So Valerie's come downstairs and is ordering tea from the Bar ( Read more... )

Shadow has relocated from a barstool to a couch near the wall. He's drinking a cup of coffee and just watching.

The girl who comes down the stairs looks nervous, and new, and he feels sympathetic to her because he's new as well. He smiles at her, and gives her a small wave.

She blinks, and gives him a smile and a small wave back.

Once she has her tea, she wanders over towards him -- a little uncertainly, though he seems friendly.

Subject change is good. "Not at the moment. I don't know, I might look into it." She quirks a smile. "It feels a little early to me to start thinking about employment."
