There's a very tall woman sitting at a booth, drinking tea, and reading a magazine with the help of a Greek-to-English dictionary. She's a remarkably fast learner, but speaking the language is a lot easier than reading it. . . and this is Patriarch's Greek, not the form the Themysciran version eventually evolved into. It's slow going.

She's noted it seems to be the custom here to approach people, strangers or otherwise, and talk; she's got a chair near the booth to show willing, and from time to time she looks up to see who's going by.
