It takes a moment before Corran realizes some one was talking to him.
"Huh? Oh, hi!" He tosses off a casual salute, then turns it into a gesture at the chair across from him. "Sorry, the view still loses me everytime I really start thinking about it...'s quite a trip."
Corran shrugs. "Best I can tell, about 8 months, bar-time. Starting to feel like a genuine veteran of the place." Dead acquaintances and all. "Yourself?"
"Ah, Earth. Home of firewhiskey, Oreos, and heli-whatzits." He grins. "Don't know if you'd know Corellia... some of you do, some of you don't. n either case, 's the place I call home."
"Helicopters." she considers, "It sounds familiar." Amanda has been to his universe and is friends with a couple of patrons who have educated her about the different worlds but her memory isn't what it used to be.
He snaps his fingers and points. "Those. That's what Sheppard called 'em. Said one day he'd have to introduce me to him in exchange for a look inside one of our X-Wings." He loooks longingly at the non-existant door. "Whenever we get the chance to do that."
Shrug. "There's a couple of us in here who call it home, and more than a few others who know it by rep or from a visit."
Following his gaze she can't help but smile, "You too." and then turning back to him, "I think there are some simulators upstairs somewhere. Not sure what models they have."
"Perhaps next time I see Lando I'll ask him if I can visit it. granted he has been rather busy." and she hasn't seen him around in a while.
"Lando?" Corran gapes slightly. "Not as in Lando Calrissian, right? You're talking about some other Lando... because... I mean, he's a legend. Especially back home."
There may be more New Republic folk heroes around here than I realized...
He laughs. "I don't think I'm really close to either of their times. I do fall in between, however... the way I hear it, there's a solid 40years beftween them, and I'm right in the middle of it."
"Ahh. I see." she laughs, "It's hard to keep track. Being friends with Mace and Lando and then with Jaina and Zekk, and others. Everyone from different points in time." she actually enjoys it.
With a lopsided grin, Corran responds, "Yeah, I'll admit, knowing Mace, my squadmates, and then Tahiri and... it's a real trip. Hard not to ask about my future from this perspective, but it's better that I don't know." He pauses. "Then again, it's every bit as hard as not telling those from the past..." Shrug.
Well she has nothing else to be doing right now. Why not meet a new person.
Walking over to the observation window, "Good Evening."
