Shufti is outside, training with Jack on the grass next to her. Today, she's working on unarmed combat, occasionally having to roll nearer to the baby as he wanders around on the grass.
She's been going for a long while, and she's getting tired. But today brings extra grit and determination, with the feeling that she may be running out of time. At last, with every muscle aching, she flops down next to the baby and just smiles at him wearily, reaching over to tickle his tummy as he rolls around on the grass.
