Mal doesn't quite say anything, not yet.

Just sits down next to her, requests napkins from Bar, and begins silently wiping up the spilled milk.

Sansa notices the motion. There's some tension in her shoulders at first, but Sansa soon relaxes.

The girl just sits on her stool, watching Mal. Sometimes seeing her, sometimes seeing memories of her, sometimes seeing her own memories.

Mal finishes cleaning up, then rests her elbos on the bar, surveying Sansa calmly.

There's a pause, and then Mal reaches out to try and brush stray tears from Sansa's face.

"I read about him," Sansa murmurs. She doesn't flinch away.

"Beg pardon?"

Voice soft, low, unassuming.

"Satan." A look at Mal's face, to take in her reaction.

Then Sansa looks at her hands. "I could not understand everything. There were so many books, and all of them about Earth, and it was terribly confusing.

"But one thing I did understand is that he is evil."

"The object that contained his power was removed. And destroyed."

Mal nods, tapping her fingers on the bartop.

"Going home, then?"

"Just one object, then? And it targeted you specifically?"

Sansa sounds doubtful. She won't answer any questions until she gets her own answers.

"One object. It targeted me as the result of - a couple of things. Things that meant I was very susceptible."

Things she doesn't want to talk about.

"Because of what you are?" Sansa replies swiftly.

"Because of what I am."

And because of who she's close to.

"What are you doing to make sure it doesn't happen again?" Sansa asks, her tone casual, as if this is a perfectly reasonable question instead of a veiled accusation.
