There was a happy gurgle coming from a table nearby, where a brown haired baby was peering over somebody's shoulder. She drooled a little on the shoulder as she smiled happily.

Ana blinked up from her tea then, and then smiled, almost laughing really. She finally giggled, crooking a finger in a wave to the baby.

Maria gurgled some more, and waved. She then gave a happy giggle as well.

Peter turned his head to see what she was so happy about. He then turned around, and Maria shifted as well.

Now there was a pair of Venkmans facing the seeming woman.

"Oh, hello there."

Ana laughed softly, nodding, "Evening."

Duck, solemn bodyguard that he was, hopped down from the couch and flippy-flopped his way over before extending one webbed foot to shake hands.

Ducky! Maria looked delighted and squealed with glee.

Peter just blinked. Smart duck. He carefully placed his daughter in her rocker seat, and then knelt down to shake hand-foot with the duck.

"Uh, smart friend you got there. They always a duck?"

Ana laughed softly, nodding, "Always has been. Thinks he's my bodyguard. That's Duck by the way, and I'm Estsanatlehi, but you can call me Ana, less of a mouthful."

The name sounded very vaguely familiar, but it was one of those classes that Peter kind of slept through.

So he just said, "Nice to meet you both. I'm Peter, and this is Maria, my daughter," Peter replied as Maria just burbled again.

She grinned again, couldn't help it really with burbly happy baby around, "Well it's a pleasure to meet you both. Where is it you hail from?"

"New York City, 1992. Though this little one was technically born here. Had a detour here on the way to the hospital."

She laughed again, nodding, "Surprised there aren't more Bar-Babies really, given the number of pairs and the number of fertility sprits popping in on a regular basis."

"Yeah, seems like quite a few around here. Enough for a nursery and day care place."

She laughed once more, another nod, "Might make someone a bit of extra spending money. Though, not sure if child care counts as business if all the children being cared for are in the bar."

That was something she'd ponder for a while.

"Yeah, though with craziness like that clock and quakes. And other stuff, not always the safest place for the kids."

Especially times like that psychic sonic boom a while ago. He was grateful she was back in his world for that.

Maria meanwhile was watching them now, and chewing on her fist slobbery.

Another nod, "True. Very true." Aaaand the smile was back, reaching out to beep Maria's nose, why? Because.

Maria laughed and squirmed some in her seat, brown eyes peering back.

"Looks like you got a fan there. She can be a tough audience at times." Takes after her old man in some regards. But there was definitely more than a little of Dana's level-headedness and determination.

Ana laughed as well, inchworming her fingers up Maria's arm before giving her another nose-beep, "I tend to get on quite well with children."
