Wellard is in the bar, taking in some of the other patrons' dress with a bit of amusement. As for him- he is dressed as he usually is.

(Not a navy uniform, but a shirt, waistcoat, and trousers of similar cut, in dark colors.)

You see, something to realize about pirates, if often times they look just like everybody else.

Clive smiled, just a little, nodding a greeting on his way past, "Ahoy."

"Ahoy and good evening." Wellard grins at Clive. His eyes flicker up to the hat, then back.

"Should I ask if that is due to the bar, or-?"

"Oh, no." He said, grinning, "I did this myself."

He'd even made the jacket.

"Better prepared in something of your own liking, then?" Wellard nods, grinning.

He laughed, nodding, "Yeah. I'm thinking I might just steer clear on Halloween, I've heard horror stories."

Wellard blinks, looking at him curiously.

"... What sort of stories for Halloween?"

He missed out, last year. (Un)Fortunately.

His brow creased slightly, "Costumes that don't come off until midnight no matter how many times you try. Some of them aren't so bad, I've heard, but some are."

There are a few moments of staring at Clive, then a glance around to the various pirate costumes and gear a few people are dressed in.

"... I see."

He shrugged, "Soon as I decide what I'm going to be I'll be prepared at least. She doesn't tend to dress people who've dressed themselves."

Wellard may be willing to take his chances, but he looks back at Clive.

"... Dare I ask how she dresses people?"

He shrugged, "I wasn't here last time, so I don't know for sure, but usually it's something strange. Or so I've heard."

"So, more than likely a good thing to dress up ahead of time." Wellard smiles wryly.

"Quite a good idea, Mr-?"

He blinked, realizing just then that he hadn't yet introduced himself, "Clive, I'm Clive. Nice to meet you."

His lips twitch slightly in amusement- but it is quite obvious that this Clive, is not wearing a wig.

He offers his hand. "Wellard, Henry Wellard. Nice to meet you, Mr Clive."

He laughed then, "Just Clive, no need for a Mister." There was one girl who'd called him 'sir Clive' and that had been equally as weird to him.

Wellard eyes him with some amusement. "Clive, then, if I can remember."
