There was a Lady by the water.

Not that anyone would be able to tell, since she was currently rather furry. She had a spare moment from the Stillroom, and felt the need to stretch her legs...the demon bunnies were safe though, she was far from hungry.

So, there was a spotted leopard stretched calmly by the water, front paw playing gently in the

And in a break from the 'splash, clatter, plop' of Archie playing fetch with the squid, he looks up and smiles at the big cat.

"Good even to you, lady."

She nodded respectfully, a slight head dip, then shifted her gaze to the horizon with a feline grin. Evening? It was nearly dawn. She'd been up for a few hours at least...

But he should have been sleeping. With a sigh she stood and sauntered over to nudge his knee gently.

He reaches down with a soft chuckle to run his fingers through her fur.

"You know I don't sleep all that much, my dear. Especially not when there's something on my mind."

With that comment she sat not far from his feet, flipping her tail neatly over er paws and tilting her head to the side.

An ear flicked.

Yes, she'd listen.

Knox is out for a walk when he sees a big cat. Not a tiger, or a lion. A panther? No, this has spots. That means a leopard.

That means staying away from the lake. Since when are there wild animals out here?

She's...grown too used to not being hunted here...in all honesty she should have hidden in the grass. She does not like scaring people. So it's a quiet, apologetic leopard that "Meehw"'s softly. Not exactly a kittenish sound, but soft and gentle as a leopard can get.

The strange sound makes Knox pause. Was the cat talking to him?

Around here, that is more likly than not, so he approaches. Carefully. Carefully.

"Er, hello."

And she is polite enough to sit up and flip her tail neatly over her paws. See? She can't attack, she'd trip...

"Rrreh"

He's a white spot, indistinct in the darkness that are the branches of a nearby tree.

"Good evening, Khemrys."

She'd known his scent on the breeze though, it's grown comfortable and familiar in their time together. ""Bright Lord"" she purred back, lifting her head to see him properly.

He seems brighter in the darkness, just on the verge of glowing. Grinning, he drops down to the ground, landing lightly on his feet in a way a true cat would be hard pressed to manage.

"How goes your evening? The breeze tells us of autumn's coming."

There is a blue feather stuck in his fur behind his ear. He finally found that bluejay that had escaped him so long ago.

""We head into the months of the Harvest Lords"" she agreed happily, drawing her paw back from the waters and tucking it under her chest.

""I have been well, if it has been quiet...Lady Laerke now attends school as well as being apprenticed to me...it grows far to still at times""
