One can't exactly avoid the inevitable, and Kim's pretty sure that she'll go mad if she stays in her room upstairs any longer, anyway. She almost knocks on Paul's door, but decides against it-- if he's sleeping, there's no sense in disturbing him, and if he's not, he'll come down himself when he wants to and probably not before.
The first thing she does when she gets downstairs is go to the front door and try to open it, but the knob still refuses to turn. Then again, she hadn't really expected it to.
With a small sigh, Kim turns away and goes to the bar, where she clears her throat and asks awkwardly, "Hi. Could I get a cup of coffee, and something to eat?"
Both appear, and Kim smiles. "Thanks."
