At an undisclosed table, there sits all the mun's pups except for Chloe, who was fortunate enough to get her own entrance post before the evil urgings of two muns (who shall not remain nameless, Cati and Eric!) talked this mun into posting all her remaining pups in at once.

So, we have a Jaina, sitting there sipping a hot cocoa (it's cold on ( Read more... )

Obi-Wan spots the clone commando and almost flinches, but manages not to let it show. If he's from after Order 66, hopefully someone's explained to him that jetii are off-limits here. And if he's from before it, I've nothing to worry about. So he strolls nonchalantly over to the Mando and waves. "Su'cuy, and well met."

Darman looks up from door watching to the man. No, not man. Jedi.

"General. Hello."

Obi-Wan bows. "Does my reputation precede me, or just my rank?"

Darman nods his head, removing the helmet and placing it carefully on the table. "You are a Jedi, sir. Unless you are a padawan, but by the look of you, I would assume not, that would make you General."

"You'd assume correctly; I've not been a Padawan in years. Would it be rude of me to ask your name and number?"

"RC-1136, Omega Squadron. It's Darman, sir."

His eyes dart briefly to the door again. A soldier shouldn't be blinded by hope, but Darman can't help but want Etain to walk through.

"Omega, yes. I remember now. I thought I recognised the Katarn armour. Waiting for your squadmates?" A key question. "How much do you know of the nature of this cantina?"

Maybe. Possibly, probably. A good commando relies on his brothers. But right now, sitting in the cantina almost as if he were a civilian, Darman wants different.

"That it appears when we least expect it and food appears from that bar. Better than rations, too." That, at least, gets the hint of a smile from Dar.

"Has anyone explained the rules to you? Or any other matters?" The pause between "any" and "other" is barely long enough to be noticeable, but it does take some time to weigh and discard ways of asking Has anyone told you that you can meet a fascinating cross-section of the entire population of the space-time-probability continuum here?, no matter how quickly you do it.

A nod. "Yes, sir. A Jedi, when ner vode - my brothers - and I first arrived. We understand that there is to be no violence around here."

"I'm glad to hear it." He doesn't ask who the Jedi is, though he'd be tickled if he found out. "Did the Jedi mention that there are people from other galaxies here?"

Darman nods again, stealing another glance towards the door. "Yes, he did."

It wouldn't be that selfish to ask for it to open up on Qiilura.
