A young girl sits at a table near the fireplace, in a light blue dress with white lace. A cup, apple, and notebook rest on the table. Though she has slippers nearby, her feet are bare. This is so Sansa can look at her painted toenails and grin ( Read more... )

"Hello." Oh, look, its the girl from the slumber party, the one that tells very creepy stories...

"Hello!" Sansa greets. She gets up and curtseys. "Sansa Stark, my lady - regretfully, I did not introduce myself at that wonderful party."

Oh, it is a surprise, a nice one... someone with proper manners. Serena curtsies in return, smiling. "I am Serena... it is a pleasure to properly meet you, Sansa."

Sansa's smile changes from politeness to pleasure at the sight of a proper curtsey. It's been so long!

"Serena - what a lovely name. Oh, I did so love that party! My toes are still sparkly!" She stops that burst of childish enthusiasm with a more mature, "Please, will you sit?" and a gesture to the chair opposite Sansa.

She accepts the seat with a grateful half-bow... "It was your frist slumber party? It was, to me, a first indeed... so... oh, I do not think I properly tried everything I could, but I loved everything I did."

"I've had women as bedmates before, and we talked and sewed before slumber, but nothing quite like this. What did you do, lady Serena?"

"I experimented with doing makeup... and the hot tub... back home, we used to study and talk together, perhaps do embroidery..."

"I experimented too! Betty, a girl my age, we painted and powdered each other's faces. We had little idea what we were doing - but we managed. And it turned out rather well, if I do say so myself." Sansa is proud of her makeup skills, actually.

"As I've done," Sansa remarks when Serena talks about her home. "Where do you hail from, my lady?"

She nods at the description... well, it might be a good moment to mention that Serena actually does not look a day over 19. "I come from the city of Prague, in Central Bohemia... the world called Earth, 1142 Anno Domine."

People older than Sansa tend to get the 'my lady' treatment - even if they're not older by much.

"I come from Westeros, in the three-hundredth year since the Conquest." She smiles wryly, knowing that this doesn't explain anything, really. "It is a land of...kings and knights, with no aeroplanes or guns." That should be a bit more context.

"Actually... it sounds much like my own world... I think that an aeroplane would do little more than scare people, in Prague."

Sansa grins. "From what I've heard of aeroplanes, they would likely put those of my land in mind of dragons.

"Would you like anything to drink?" she asks, looking around for a waitrat as she does so.

"Not right now, thnak you..." She nods... "The last dragons in my world retreated far from civilized lands... humans started hunting them, forming true armies to claim lands the great wyrms once held..."

"Hunting dragons?" Sansa eyebrows rise a bit. "I do hope these are a different breed than the ones of Westeros. Our dragons can - could - grow to the size of castles and roast entire armies with their flame."

"Our dragons were not quite that large... large eniugh to be a challenge, but also, large enough that an army could surround it, and sooner than later, a ballista bolt would find its way in, past a seam of armored scales, or an eye..." She sighs a bit...

Sansa glances at Serena at the sigh, trying to judge by her expression if anything is wrong. She'd rather not ask - it's not polite.

She continues, "Our dragons were controlled by the Targaryens, a family that left Valyria and settled on Westeros, well, three hundred years ago. They conquered Westeros with flame, making the Seven Kingdoms from the ashes of the old ways."
