Trademark smile in place, Indy ambles over and waits for a break in the melody.

"Martini, or something else?"

*She pulls the flute away long enough to speak*

Room temperature water mixed with a quarter of a lemon's worth of juice, thank you, Doctor Jones.

Indy pouts out his bottom lip momentarily.

"Comin' right up," he says.

He fishes out a glass and uses the spritzer to fill it. Once the lemon has been squeezed in, he places it before her.

"Everything okay?"

Fine, thank you.

*She smiles brilliantly before taking a sip of her water. She savours it momentarily and flicks her tongue a little to clear the worst of the citrus.*

Just right. And you? How are things?

A dismissive shrug and a smile returns.

"Nothing new here."

"Let's see, I was in Tortall today with Lilly and Alanna for Jon and Thayet's royal wedding. Formal court attire aside, that was a nice break from the norm."

How lovely. Weddings are always such fun. How is Lady Sir? Well?

"Oh yeah. She's great," he says with a fond grin. "Married to Adam now, you know? And they're trying for a kid."

That's wonderful. She'll be an excellent mother. Especially if her children want to learn how to fight with swords and the like.

*Another sip of lemon water*

And you? Are you ready to settle down with your lady yet?

There's a long pause. The smiles fades.

"Not sure I have a choice about that one."

She doesn't want it.

*She lays a hand over his*

I'm sorry, Indiana, I shouldn't have brought it up.

He scratches his cheek, breaking eye contact.

"Neither of us do, I guess. You know me; I'm not exactly the settlin' down committed type."

No, I suppose not.

*She smiles ruefully. She gestures with the pennywhistle*

Can I play you something? Music hath charms and all...

A little shake of his head.

"I think this is the first time I've been more committed than the other party," he carries on.

Well, there's a first time for everything, no?

*She squeezes his hand*

And...it's not as though you aren't with her, just that you aren't legally bonded. Is that so awful?

"Oh, it's not awful at all," he says, swinging his head back to look at her. "We have a great time together."

"Just, y'know, after Delia and her extra relationships... I dunno. I guess I'm just a little tired of sharing."
