Lawrence is perched near the fire with a cup of tea in hand, a map stretched across his lap haphazardly.

He only appears busy - really he's not doing much of anything.

She traces the lines of the map with her eyes.

"That's...desert, isn't it? Are you going there?"

He shrugs a little.

"Ah. I'm in a jungle myself; opposite end of the spectrum. Do you like it there?"

"It is where I have spent a rather large portion of my life. It's far better than Britain, at any rate."

He smiles, not unkindly. "It is quite the honor."

She puzzles in silence over the line about installing a king.

"You fought for him?"

He offers his hand out of politeness. "How terribly rude of me. Thomas Edward Lawrence. Lawrence is, of course, most preferable. And you might be..?"

He doesn't have a lot of experience with women, but a woman who prefers the jungle already piques his interest.
