*Broom is gently applying a coat of polish to Bar. It won't help the pain, but it comforts her. It is all he can do, really. He hasn't touched the scorched message, hasn't gone near the afflicted area it since it happened . . . he fears irritating the wound, or possibly making it worse. So he continues to polish, with gentle strokes. It is all he can do.*
