There's no "hail the conquoring hero" this time, no raucous calls for rum. Charlie just steps though, and lets out a deep breath when he's back in Milliways instead of nose-to-bark with a large tree.
He steps to the Bar first and gives her a stroke: "Hello, darling. I'm back." He then looks around to see who's in. All looks well, except the cruel makes in the Bar's top, but it's quiet and dark, like normal.
His relief is short-lived when he sees David arguing with what looks like another vampire. Lestat? No. Probably Armand.
He takes another deep breath and goes over to say hello. And run interference if need be.
