She comes over, with Jack.

"I've been looking, but I haven't heard anything yet, sorry."

"It's pointless to look here anymore," Nerdanel manages before beginning to cry again.

Námo smiles sadly at Shufti. "Whoever took him has taken him from Milliways," he explains.

Shufti kneels in front of her, taking her hands gently.

"But didn't you say then that you can follow?"

In her head she is thankful that at least this means Gabriel is still alive. But she doesn't say that.

"I... do not know," Námo says softly. "I know he is not here. I know he is somewhere else. But... I do not know the path between. It is frustrating."

"Always remember where and who has your son," she murmurs sadly, wiping at her cheeks.
