Guppy, who has been glancing under barstools in the hope of finding one of his missing pens, doesn't actually run into Ray but comes fairly close. He looks up.

"Hey Ray, you all right?"

"I'm awake," Ray says. "That's a start. How 'bout you?"

"One of those nights eh?"

He nods. "I'm okay, just... keep losing stuff and it's a bit weird."
