Sam inna bar with his lunch and a newspaper. Currently he's doodling ward signs on the edges of the paper. Come distract.

A girl walking by with a mug of herbal tea, paused, eyes roaming his paper. After a few seconds, Thea realised how horribly rude it was and just how much she was staring.

"Sorry." She said, cheeks reddening.

Sam glances up and quirks a brow. "You a magic-user, then?"

Ward signs tend to draw the eyes of those attuned to magic, in Sam's experience.

"I'm a witch." Thea explained quickly, not mentioning anything beyond that.

She peered at the paper again.

"I haven't seen those before."

"No, well that's because I'm in the process of making new wards. Or at any rate modifying existing ones," he explains.

"I'm Sam, by the way."

[whitewitch_thea]

"Creating wards?"

Thea sat primly on a seat, definitely intrigued now.

"Thea Harman. Unity."

"Yup. Always pays to be a bit different."

He tilts his head. "Unity?"

"Witch greeting." Thea said, shuffling her feet with embarrasment.

"You're not a witch?"

[necessary_child]

"Nah. Son of Magic." He grins. "We usually just go with a 'hi'."

[whitewitch_thea]

Thea laughed, shaking her head softly.

"Your world is probably different from mine."

[necessary_child]

He laughs too. "Probably. It's probably for the best."

[whitewitch_thea]

"I wouldn't say that." Thea glanced at him sharply.

[necessary_child]

He tilts his head. "Oh?"

[whitewitch_thea]

"It's...not bad, but there's a lot that could use improvement."

[necessary_child]

He nods solemnly. "True of mine also. You from Earth?"

[whitewitch_thea]

"Nevada." She said, eyes drifting to the spot where the door should rightly be.

"But I've made a sort of home here..."

Beat.

"And you?"

[necessary_child]

"London, usually." He knows that glance- he's been Bound himself, after all. "Are you bound here, then?"
