Ramon's not had the best
night, and he hadn't really planned on coming in. But here he is anyway, for lack of anything better to do.
Anyone observant may notice a slight looseness to his movements, as though he's drunk. This is because he is. But Bar still serves him up another bottle and he slumps on to a sofa to enjoy it. Well, drink it, if not
Raina's perched on the arm of the sofa, regarding him curiously.

'Hi.'

"How are you doing?"

He's normally tidy of appearance; good clothes, clean shaven, generally well groomed. Today? He is not. Jeans, T-shirt, not shaved and messy hair - Raina can decide for herself if he's lying or not.
'You?'

This may be why she raises a brow at him. An unspoken 'oh really?'
"I'm doing pretty well. Meeting more people as I stay here. Learned that my up coming death will be about as fun as I thought."
Reply
'Well, that must be fun for you.'
There's bite in his tone. He's not a placid drunk.

She glides her cheek against the sofa, an almost unconscious move as she studies him. It's very animal scent marking territory, only in human form she's actually missing the glands for it. "So, aside from drinking what have you been up to?"
Reply
Drinking. Working. He set guard dogs on someone who pissed him off three days ago. The blood had been a welcome distraction. But he can't talk normally at the moment, there isn't polite conversation in him. Everything's wound too tightly for that.
'How's Martin?'

She does have a thorough interest in his well fare currently. She's found that blood is always a nice distraction when done properly.
"He's doing alright."
She's not completely sure of that answer, though she hides it well.

'Ah yes. The Martin I'm raising.'
The honest answer to that is...yes. Probably. Lets just say that it's a good thing time doesn't move when he's in the bar, otherwise the child would be on his own right now.
'He wasn't doing so well last time I spoke to him.'
It's just an observation. Little interest is conveyed in his words.

"Why do I feel I'm missing a piece of the equation you have? When I said you I meant the implied you and Random. Has something changed?"
Raina so isn't a child person. She wouldn't know motherly instinct if it stabbed her in the heart. So, the whole leaving a kid on their own, she'd probably end up doing if timed passed.
"Considering what he's going through, he's holding up well."

He could lie and say that nothing's changed, but he refuses to justify his statement to her.
'He started remembering anything yet?'
Reply
"It is my business of sorts."
At least it works out that way in her mind.
"Not that I know of, that he's told me."
Reply
But he won't explain that to her, of course. He just glares at her.
'No. It is not your business.'
Reply
"If it effects Martin, it is."

Of course, talking to Random is impossible right now and very few conversations between he and the boy work out well. But the sentiment is correct.
