It's been nearly two years since Snow first entered Milliways. Since then, her children have been born, she's gotten married, and she's made more friends than she had in the previous two centuries. In their wing in the House of Arch, she's felt more of a sense of 'home' than she has since she was about eight.
She's also faced danger and betrayal, seen friends go through unspeakable trauma, and felt helpless in the face of some of the nastier elements in the bar.
It's a balance, in its way.
But even with balance, a vacation is called for every now and then, and night after tomorrow they'll head out for some R&R. Hunting for Bigby and Millie, open skies for Wade to fly in, and a general lack of things that need to be done to allow Snow to kick back, relax, and fully unwind.
Tonight, for a special treat, she's brought Millie and Wade to the bar. They're contentedly seated in their old booth, sharing a large tray of fried paradoxes and a chocolate milkshake each(Wade, of course, having been provided with the air-based equivalent of both).
