It was a well known fact that trees were covered in bark. Milliways, while being very strange in general, has not changed this fact. Trees are much the same, even by the lake. Thus, it might come as a shock to see something that was definitely leather protruding from a tree. That was until you made out the curve of a hip. Then your eyes may be good enough to distinguish the figure leaning against it, she wasn't making it easy. Perhaps she just wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Bar.
