And now for the fun part.

Now is the time when for celebrating. For dancing and laughing and congratulating.

Out by the lake there's tables and chairs and food, there's music and room to dance, and--what do you know--there's a newly married couple looking to share some happiness.

There's little sandwiches--some with bacon--and lots of fruit and cookies.

Need we mention the strawberries? With white and dark chocolate for dipping?

Richard wanders over to the tables with Joshua on his hip. He makes a plate of fruit and biscuits for his son and a plate of sandwiches for himself. He does leave a few of the bacon sandwiches for the other guests.

He's got Andrei in his arms.

"Hey, mate. Don't know if they've got anything Andrei can eat here, but I think I have a jar of stuff from Gran in the bag."

He kisses his smallest son.

Joshua crows and shows his Pappas the strawberry he has.

"I'm more worried about Josh most times. Don't think there's that much sugar anyplace else."

He runs his free hand over Joshua's hair and smudges his cheek with a thumb.

He looks around.

"It was a great service. Not too flash."

He shakes his head.

"Solemn vampires. What'll we see next?"

"David's been a bit quiet lately. I think being with Loki has mellowed him, oddly enough."

He sets Joshua down in the grass with his plate.

He shakes his head and puts Andrei down as well.

"I can't ever give that to you."

He shrugs and crosses his arms over his chest.

"I don't want to change you."

His eyes are on the boys. Anything but Richard.

"No. But it would involve changing you, and I don't want that. I love what we have."

He meets Gary's eyes now.

"Look, mate, we live together, sleep together, and raise children together. We've made all our promises to one another and neither one of us is much for public display. What's the difference between what we've got and what Charlie and Darien have?"
