*Anthy glances at Beth, and then stares. She is reminded of someone.*

Beth feels someone watching her. She looks around and spots Anthy, whom she's never actually met.

She offers her a sort of half-smile.

[anthy_rosebride]

*smiles back, hesitantly, and glances at the apple*

Who are you?

[stbethadettes]

"I'm Beth," she introduces herself. "You're Anthy?"

She looks from Anthy to the apple. "And would you like an apple, too?"

[anthy_rosebride]

[OOC: Um. Sorry. I forgot about this, and then my computer died. I dunno if you're still here.]

Yes. How did you know?

*eyes the apple* No thank you. I'm fine.

(OOC: No problem at all.)

She's met some people with hair colors she's not exactly used to, but hasn't seen many other people who look like Anthy.

"I saw you at the duel a few weeks ago."

[anthy_rosebride]

Oh. You were there too. Any particular reason?

[stbethadettes]

She looks at Anthy curiously. All she knows about her is the little information Todd gave her about the duel and the few things Meg hinted at later.

"I was curious. Todd told me a little about what was going on." She admits, "He was kind of vague."

[anthy_rosebride]

*mildly* You're a friend of Todd's, then?

[stbethadettes]

She pauses, holding her apple under her chin with both hands. She's not sure what to say.

"He's friendly to me."

[anthy_rosebride]

Oh? *tilts her head, encouraging Beth to continue*

Beth's forehead wrinkles a little as she looks at Anthy.

"He was the first person I met here. He's always been very nice to me." She wrestles with her thoughts. "But I've heard he's not so nice to everyone."

[anthy_rosebride]

Have you? I suppose most people are nicer to some people than others.

[stbethadettes]

She's not sure what she expected her to say, but that wasn't it.

It's her turn to tilt her head. "That's true." She traces imaginary patterns on the apple.

"Meg gave me impression that Todd could be... quite mean."

[anthy_rosebride]

*Anthy watches the apple-patterns.*

How so?

[stbethadettes]

She keeps tracing the patterns, but stops beating around the bush.

"Meg said that Todd made you unhappy. And that you never show when you're unhappy." And that last part is something she can probably believe now.
