Indy is slouched at the next table. Despite the early evening hour, he's looking a little the worse for wear. Having an all-night farewell Guinness blowout with your favorite nymph will do that to a guy. So, a little paler and more haggard than usual, the scruffy archeologist is toying with something bland and vaguely nutritious—let's say a chicken pot pie. There's a big mug of coffee that is being given far more frequent attention than the food.

At some point the blonde gets a watery smile, out of mere politeness.

Erin nods back, one eyebrow raised.

"Need somethin' for your head?"

Yep, she's seen that look before--hangovers look the same the world 'round.

Or, in this case, the universe 'round.

He scrubs a hand down one side of his face.

"Just a clout upside it before I next start drinkin' Guinness, to remind me what it feels like the day after."

One side of her mouth curls up in a smile.

"Well, if I ever see you knocking 'em back, I'll be sure to oblige. You know, in the spirit of bein' helpful, and all."

"Heh. You got yourself a deal."

"What can I offer in return for such generosity?"

"Dunno. Gimme a while to think of something, and I'll get back to you."

Her smile broadens a bit, though it manages to avoid becoming a smirk.

"'m Erin Fray, for what it's worth."

"Mel's sis?" he says, far more brightly.

Talk about a sudden change. It's like the sun just got up and started shining on Indy's face.

Her eyebrows go up a little more, but the smile sticks around.

"That'd be me, yeah. You a good friend of hers?"

Mel has rather a lot of them, or so it seems to Erin.

From the desert wasteland of Hangover, there was born a new man, quite cheerful and all smiles.

"I'm Indiana Jones."

"Indy."

"I think Mel 'n I've surpassed good friend status. We're family."

"So you're the one I've not met yet."

She grins, looking a lot more animated.

"I'd been wondering how long it was gonna take before we ran into each other. Nice to meet you."

"You too. Finally."

He grabs his coffee and moves over to her table.

"I think you must've got here while I was stuck back in my world. A little problem with Nazis that necessitated a Mel 'n Mike rescue. She might'a mentioned it?"

"She left a note, yeah."

Erin's voice is a little dry.

"They're good at rescuing, I take it?"

A little smirk forms.

"In my limited personal experience, pretty good. Yeah."

"Need to work on their truck comandeering skills though."

"Maybe someone could set up a training course, or something. You know, for people who make rescuin' a habit."

Indy chuckles gently.

"Can't talk for anyone else, but I don't intend to make it a habit for them."

Erin laughs.

"Think it might be too late for Mel--here and at home, at least."

The hero gig, it leaves a mark.
