Today Archie is not on duty. Today he is sprawled happily on one of the couches with his tea and a book. He looks mighty comfy. He looks like he might enjoy some company.

Someone hangs over the back of the couch and ruffles his hair.

"Good book?"

Oh, dear. It has been a while since Archie and Alanna saw each other, hasn't it? In this universe, at least.

She looks funny up-side down.

"Hello. Oh..."

A funny look crosses his face and he closes the book, sitting up straighter.

"Hello m'lady. Er... it doesn't compare with fair company in the flesh, I assure you."

"What's this about fair flesh?" She teases, flopping over the back of the couch and landing ungracefully beside him. "I've missed you, Archie."

He chuckles softly, pulling her into a little half-hug.

"I've missed you too, dearest."

Well he has. For reference, he's also wearing jeans and a soft cream button-down shirt. And the sword.

"You look much better than you did last I saw you."

Then company he shall have, in the form of Sharpe and son.

Archie grins in welcome, offering his hand to the boy.

"Afternoon lads, how've things been?"

"Well as they could be", Sharpe answers, dropping easily onto the couch and setting the boy down next to him. "You?"

Archie snorts softly.

"Honestly, I'm getting a bit anxious for the wedding. I don't want anything to happen to delay it between now and the time we do get wed."

[oh_frak_me]

*Starbuck saunters over and plops down next to him*

Am not.

Archie blinks over at her.

"You're not what?"

*She smirks contentedly. She's worked it out in her head and she is not going to get run over this time*

Archie grins.

"Miss Delia, how have you been?"

He glances down at the page he's on.

"I've read it before, so it's not nearly as interesting as someone so charming as yourself."

I'm alright. Yourself?

"Getting better."

The bindings on the wounds he got from the Quest are minimal now, mostly to keep the balms from rubbing off. He'll still have some nice new scars though.

"I'm a bit anxious for the wedding, truly."
