Tahiri is mad.

And on the lookout for pilots. Specifically, Wes Janson or Corran Horn. Because the word is that their prank war almost killed somebody, and that is Totally Not Cool.

She's got a lightsaber.

She may even have a half-starved Yuuzhan Vong creature or two in one of her jumpsuit pockets.

"You don't look at all happy, y'know that?" Atton says, sitting down next to her. "Zekk do something?" Beat. "Did you eat Zekk?"

Atton has odd leaps of logic, sometimes.

"I haven't eaten anyone," she answers briefly, raising the mental shields just a bit higher. No use withdrawing completely from the Force just yet-- that would blind her to Corran, and she still needs to find him.

"You seen Corran Horn around?"

Atton notes the raising of the mental shields, and responds in kind by withdrawing from the Force completely. No sense doing things by halves.
"Can't say I have," Atton tilts his head. "Why?"

"I need to talk to him."

She hopes he knows the mental shield thing isn't personal-- it's only polite not to broadcast the seething anger and rage at every Force-Sensitive in the place. Nobody wants a stranger's negative feelings in their heads.

Atton may know. And if he doesn't, he doesn't particularly care, anyway.
"I gathered that. The only other thought that entered my head was that you wanted to kriff him," He replies. "What about?"

"Wanted to kriff him?"

Twenty points to Atton for totally de-railing her angry chain of thought. "He's old, and I went to the Academy with his children, and I do not kriff old pilots. He and Wes have this prank war going on, and now Security's looking for him because one of the pranks went bad."

[stuck_mynock]

"Pranks," Atton announces wisely. "Are not meant to be good."

There's a short pause.
"He's not that old here."

[shaped_jeedai]

"They aren't meant to be lethal either."

Tahiri shakes her head. "He's still the father of my schoolmates. That's just creepy."

[stuck_mynock]

"Lethal? Correct me if I'm wrong, but Wes and Corran don't exactly scream 'murderers' to me," He has completely forgotten the kriffing line of conversation. "What d'you mean by lethal? As in lethal lethal?"

[shaped_jeedai]

"As in put a guy in the infirmary in critical condition," she clarifies. "Which almost was lethal. Might have been if he hadn't been found and given proper care in time."

... okay, so she's embellishing details. All she really knows is what the note said, but it's still safe to assume that this is no laughing matter.

"Kriff," He looks concerned, but it isn't for whoever almost died. He's more concerned about whether Wes is going to end up in the cells. "Wes wouldn't do that, y'know. I'm betting Corran wouldn't either."

[shaped_jeedai]

"Not on purpose, but pilots are notoriously bad at thinking about the consequences of their actions."

She shakes her head. "If this is the kind of thing it starts, this prank war of theirs needs to be stopped. I don't care how bored they get, it doesn't justify causing harm to other beings."

Atton doesn't say anything to that. He really doesn't have a response. So he sits and broods. What he's brooding about in particular, we may never know.

Tahiri, alas, has no time for brooding.

"If you see Corran, tell him I'm looking for him? And not for kriffing."

[stuck_mynock]

"That's what you say, but we all know the truth."

[shaped_jeedai]

If he looks closely, there may be a smile as she walks away. Exasperated and tiny, yes, but a smile all the same.
