The bruises around Shufti's neck have faded enough for her to stop wearing polo neck sweaters, which is something of a relief to her. From close up it is still possible to see finger marks, but she moves with ease now and whatever bruises she had do not appear to be bothering her much.
She is sitting down near the fire, eating some bread, fruit and cheese. Baby Jack sleeps in the harness on her front, and she has to occasionally dust a crumb or two off his little head.
