Another day, another run.

Alright, so perhaps Ace isn't so continuously fitness-savvy as that, but she hasn't felt terribly fit to fly of late, so running has been resorted to as a means to keep the wilder half satisfied. Not quite as good as her usual mode of operations, but it will do, for now

Sara has coffee and toast. But waffles do sound good.

"Hey."

[nitro_is_ace]

"'Lo Sara, been a while, hasn't it?" Ace asks as her desired waffles (with lots of strawberries and toasted pecans and enough whipped cream to sink a ship) appear on the Bar. "How goes?"

[lvpd_sidle]

"Was abducted by a serial killer. Got out alive. Been gone a month my time. It's going all right."

In order of importance, of course.

"You?"

[nitro_is_ace]

"Fun times." Gotta love the psychotic villians. They do make life so much more interesting, at the very least.
"I've..." She smiles. "Been busy."

[lvpd_sidle]

"When all was said and done, he looked worse than I did." Slight smirk. "Wound up dead as well. My colleagues were just a little bit pissed, all things considered."

Headtilt and curious look. "Anything you want to talk about?"

[nitro_is_ace]

"Nice goin'. Always good t'leave the bad ones dead, leaves less of a chance of them comin' back." She speaks from experience, oh yes. A square of waffle is cut off, and smothered in cream and berries before being munched on. This, of course, is why it takes her so long to answer the question.

"Not in particular. Doctor an' his new companion have arrived, she's a good sort, think she'll do well."

"And?" Sara is tenacious when she wants to be.

And no waffles, no matter how good they might be, justify taking that long to eat.

[nitro_is_ace]

Ace's expression is open and innocent.

"And what? Her name's Rose. Blonde girl, London accent. I think you'd like her." Ace has been trained with withstand Dalek questioning.

Too very bad there isn't similar training for withstanding other things Daleks can do.

Sara chuckles, amused. "Ace, if you want to dispell suspicion with people who know you, it's generally a good idea to not look innocent."

[nitro_is_ace]

"I'm sure I haven't the faintest idea what y'talkin' about." Ace retorts, scooping up more fruit and nuts with another hacked-off bit of waffle.

[lvpd_sidle]

"Of course not."

[nitro_is_ace]

"Went to Lilly's launch party last night, that was fun. Met a fairy. He was... very much not what I expected." She grins cheerily. Clearly, she considers the previous line of questioning closed.

Sara can take a hint. Shock, gasp, ect.

"A real fairy? Seriously?"

[nitro_is_ace]

"Ever hear of Puck, from... what was it... oh, Midsummer's Night Dream? That Puck. He's rather different than imagination painted him." Also rather different than Conan Doyle painted them, but that is a different story.

[lvpd_sidle]

"I've heard of him. I think Jack mentioned him once or twice, but I didn't realize it was that Puck."

Pause.

"God I hope Oberon doesn't show up."

[nitro_is_ace]

"Oh, he's been about for a while. Raven's gone after him a couple times." Oh yes. That had been fun. In all the ways that it wasn't.
