Kim and Angela are back in the bar.
Angela looks better and she did manage to sleep last night.
Kim is still watching her carefully and her eyes are red-rimmed from being up all night again, but she had to make sure that Angela slept and that nothing happened.

"Mom, did you sleep last night?" she asks softly.

After last night's conversations...she wouldn't blame her for not sleeping.

She looks at her and takes another sip of coffee. She's not sure she'll ever be able to drink tea again.

"A little," she lies. She couldn't sleep. Had to make sure nothing was trying to get to Angie, had to watch over her. But, also a little afraid.

"Mom, you have to get some sleep," she says in concern. "You'll make yourself sick."

"I'm not really tired. You need sleep, I don't."

There's a rather worried looking vampire watching them.

She looks likely about the same, tired, female, still in pain from the stabbing, but that's definite concern in her eyes for the pair.

And possibly a waitrat delivering tea for both of them.

Angela looks at the tea, not entirely in dismay, then looks over at the young woman a little ways away.

Angela smiles. "Hello."

A gentle smile, careful to hide her fangs.

"Hello."

But does not come over. Manners, after all.

"Thank you for the tea...I'm Angela and this is my mother, Kim."

Angela will not be frightened off of meeting new people. She will just be more wary.

Jack's glad to see Angie looking better, but a look at Kim's state negates that easily. Heading over to their table, he's careful to mask his concern with a natural-looking smile.

"How are my girls today?" he asks, giving each of them a kiss on the cheek before taking a seat.

She tenses and glances at Angela.

Can trust Dad with Angie. He won't let anything happen to her. Can't stay here.

'Can't go home again.'

"I need to get some air."

Angela looks at her mother in concern and her hand tightens on her mother's. "Mom?" she says anxiously. "Are you okay?"

"I have to go..." She manages to get out, needing to get away although she can't explain why and if pressed she'd just break down.

Air. Need air. Need to get outside, because Angie's okay with him and she doesn't know what to do with these feelings and thoughts and...

She looks at Angie slightly pleading for permission, but doesn't need permission, just needs to leave.

Hurting him and she knows she's hurting him, but being around him just reminds her of how far she's fallen.

"I'm sorry," she whispers and then she stands, looks at him for a moment and walks off toward the lake door.
