Faye freezes when she sees them.

Her eyes narrow, and she watches as they walk hand-in-hand to the door, which Spike opens, and then step through.

Wait a second.

From his spot by the door to the lake, Gren sees the whole thing and he's not sure if trying to comfort her will help or hurt. But it's his first inclination, so he acts on it. He's at her side very quickly.

"Faye? Are you all right?"

She doesn't look at him.

"You don't look wonderful." Without even asking, he gets her a scotch from the bar and sets it down in front of her.

Good one, Grencia. Enabling addictive behavior all over again. He quiets the voice that might be his conscience or might just be lack of self-esteem taking up space in his brain.

He has to ask, though: "Did you see the door at all, or did it just look like they faded through the wall?" It might be important and it might not, but it's a place to start talking. He never saw the door solidly until recently, but he wasn't exactly spending his days watching it, either.

"I saw it."

She hasn't seen the door once since she got here.

Gesturing back in the general direction of the door, she goes on. "Usually people just go straight through the wall."

But not the guy with the fuzzy hair and his girlfriend.

Her hand wraps around the glass Gren put in front of her.
