Pre-Milliways

A tall, skinny girl pushes the door in with her back, for her hands are still in her pockets. As she turns around she doens't see Eddie, the creepy cashier selling lotto tickets. She sees, well...she doesn't know what she sees. She lets the door shut behind her just as silently as it opened.

Junior walks slowly toward her table. The closer she gets she's really not sure if her eyes are playing tricks on her. Is that a girl?

Angel nods. "People show up from all kinds of different times and places, and most of them aren't expecting it the first time. But I guess that's the end of the universe for you."

"End of the...you're serious?"

"Yeah. There's a window, but the whole exploding-stars thing... isn't to everyone's tastes. Where're you from?"
Angel doesn't mind intrusions, no.

"Wyoming. Small town. We ain't got nothing like this."

She plays with her cuticles in order to not look too stunned. End of the universe...

"I'm from New York. 1997. There's nothing like it there, either - I'm pretty sure I would've found it, if there were."
