In one of the more shadowed corners of the bar something stirs, tawny-gold fur catching the light.

It is a Lion, head coming up off his forepaws, solemn golden eyes watching the patrons as they pass by.

Aslan has been here for quite some time.

"Oh! A lion!" Ingress hurries over and stands before Aslan. She waves, excited. She's never seen a lion here before. "Hi."

The tip of Aslan's tail twitches quietly, and golden eyes are warm indeed when they regard Ingress.

"Hello and well met, child of Below."

"You know where I'm from!" she says, her eyes dancing with color. "Do you know Tom or Door?"

"I do, indeed, though in a less direct fashion."

He lashes his tail, voice warm with amusement.

"Come closer, if you would. I mean no harm, here."

"I know! You're like-" she pauses to try to find the right words as she comes closer, without fear. What she means to say comes together all of a sudden and she smiles and smiles as she pets his mane. "You're like Aziraphael! You make me feel all happy and warm. Are you an angel, too?"

"Not quite, child. Though as a comparison it will certainly serve you well."

The scent rising from his mane is warm and sweet, like summer flowers, or hot gingerbread at Christmastime.

She hugs him. "I like it when people like you come here."

She knows he's just like Megwyn, who is a person in horse shape.

"I am glad to hear it, child."

He lowers his head, leaning gently against her.

"I have long loved this place, as well."

"Me too," she says, twining her hands through his mane as other young girls did in a world far away.

She stays there a while, talking with Aslan of happy things before she has to go home.
