Lee's acquired a set of clean clothes - though he hasn't disposed of the old set, just yet - and a room for himself and Hester.

Right now, they're outside, checking out the lake area and trying to decide if there's enough space to be worth getting a balloon.

Knox has roamed outside. It's not raining. That alone is worthy of note. He sees what seems to be some kind of cowboy.

"Good afternoon."

Lee glances up and nods to him, touching his hat in greeting.

"Afternoon."

"Nice day, huh? It's been raining for like three weeks at home. And winter's about to start." Everybody talks about the weather, including Knox.

"Yeah. Seems we got here just in time to see the spring."

[gotham_knocking]

"Wher are you from? And when?" Knox is old enough to remember all the cowboy shows of the 1960s with a certain fascination, even if he preferred Peter Gunn and The Fugitive.

"Texas. Came in from somewhere in the North, though. Name's Lee Scoresby, and this here's Hester."

[gotham_knocking]

Knox moves closer, just a bit dubious about cowboys who have pet rabbits. "Alexander Knox, Gotham City, 1989. How long you here?"

"Just got in yesterday. You?"

"Been in and out for about a month. Wild place, isn't it?"

"I ain't seen much of it yet. Sure does seem that way, though."

[gotham_knocking]

"Has anyone tried to give you a sense of what's what here? Not that I think I could. The place still weirds me out some days."

"I got the rules, from Miss Amy. And a little about the Bar."

[gotham_knocking]

Miss Amy? Well, if Gunsmoke can be believed, that is almost real cowboy talk.

"Can I ask when you're from?"

[ooc: the mun was letting him avoid that question, because canon never pins it down and they're not exactly from Earth so she doesn't feel confident using the year of publication. it's problematic]

"Earlier'n you, I'd think", Lee says, glancing him over. "'less fashions changed since the last time I went to the cities at home."

[gotham_knocking]

"That's my guess. Though plenty of people in Texas in my day still dress that way. And some actually aren't tourists." He smirks.

"You in the cattle trade out there?" Being north of Texas could imply he was leading a herd to Kansas City or Chicago.
