"You are thirsty, perhaps?"

"I'm always thirsty, mate," Jack answers shortly. There's that fey smile again. "As long as it's rum, savvy?"

"I am, perhaps, not quite so picky."
But he orders a glass of rum from Bar, and holds it out to Jack.

"This from the fellow who insists on whiskey over rum?"
But he takes the drink and tosses it back, then flashes a grin at Raven. "My thanks, mate."

He tilts his head, expression turning very innocent.
"Possibly it is one of my few preferences."

"Only a few? Do tell, mate. This sounds like a story."

"It is a question of changing, I think. At least in some ways."
He shrugs, ordering a glass of whiskey from Bar and draining it in one swallow.
"Also of memory, perhaps. Much like brownies and milk."
Perhaps.

"Done that, mate. I prefer the madness, savvy?" He grins. "She's a lovely lass, and there's no leaving her."

Then he blinks, and his eyes are only black and glittering with laughter.
"I am very fond of her, as well, I think. She makes very good eyeball smoothies."

"Particularly with geckos."

It's a definite improvement.
"Just tell me the urchin's not part of it."

"You think it would like some? It is not difficult to make."
