Angel, couch by fireplace, tea and paradoxes, magazine, fuzzy gender line.
Also a couple of packages, to which end he's keeping an eye out for a little sister or two.

Val. Book. Add a couple verbs. Probably the person Angel's looking for.

One of them, yes.
"Special delivery." And with that, one of the packages is plopped in her lap.
Inside is a skirt - medium-dark green fabric with giant white 1960s-style flowers on (a relatively tame choice, given it's Angel). There are also a few of the sparkly things Lethe gave him worked in, but nowhere that Val would end up sitting on one.

Val blinks. "Did I miss a holiday or something?" She cracks a grin, though, and opens in. "Holy frell, Angel, this is lovely!" She glomps Angel throroughly. "You so didn't have to... thanks so much."

"You didn't miss a holiday, I just felt like making stuff." Angel glomps her right back. "It wasn't a problem in the least. Let me know if it doesn't fit right, and I'll fix it."

"I'm sure that it'll be just fine." Val beams. "Thanks. It'll be lovely." She bounces a bit. "So, how have you been? I haven't talked to you in ages."

Angel just grins, and passes over the magazine he was reading - Osrics coverage, currently open to Best Dressed.
"Oh, pretty good."

Val stares, then glomps again. "Angel! Holy frell, how'd you pull it off?" She's grinning. "Congratulations, Angel. That's so wonderful."

"Nobody died this time, I promise. Faith got a wish for Christmas from one of the magic types and used it so I could go back for a couple days. Didn't want anything permanent, just wanted to show some of those girls how to wear a dress. And I got some fancy statuary for my trouble. Still don't know why they thought I needed it - granted, Mark's just as confused about his own."

Val snorts. "I bet he was." She grins. "Well, congrats to both of you, then. That must have been awesome, confusing as it was." She pulls her knees up to her chest. "I never really did pay much attention to entertainment, but it always seemed almost magical." Well, to a kid and teenager, even one who grew up too early.

"Well, it was, but... I wasn't acting, and I don't need a little gold statue to tell me I'm exceptional, for all people keep saying I deserve an award for my personality. Mark just didn't think he had a chance, but he does know what he's doing with a camera."

"From what I know, he rather does." Val grins. "People're strange like that. They get ideas in their head that're so totally different than reality."

"Well, he's relaxed about the whole thing now. It's really kinda funny. You missed a big damn party, by the way - Mark threw one when we got back."

"Drat. I swear I always miss the good parties anymore." She facepalms. "Then again, running between three universes can be a bit headache-inducing."

"...You and your work ethic, honey, seriously."
He says it in a tone of fond exasperation, though.

Val shrugs. "Gotta do something so I don't think too much. Because, well, I do that too frelling much."

"Really, what else could you possibly want all those brain cells for?"
He teases out of love. Really.
