Seeing as it's April first, Molly is pretty sure that it's a trap, but...
FREE SWEETS! She's feeling adventurous, since she knows there's no violence in the bar, so she chooses a sweet at random and reads the slip of paper in her hand, even as she's chewing and swallowing.
She feels a strange tingle all over, and then suddenly: "I have wings!"
Who hasn't noticed her bunny tail yet.

She notes that the other girl looks a bit larger than she did just a few days ago.
"No, these are new. They came free with the sweets."
She holds up the slip of paper that explains the candy's effect. Then she really looks and notes a fluffy white tail behind Betty.
"Did you, er, have some too?"
Reply
Shifting a little uncomfortably.
"I think the baby will be here soon."
Reply
"I thought you had another six weeks or so!"

She puts her hand to her bulge. "It just feels close. I don't feel like I can stretch any more. The false contractions are getting stronger."
Reply
She does some quick thinking.
"You've seen a healer. A doctor? You know what to expect during the birthing process?"
Reply
"Doctor Hank explained, but I think I forgot most of it."
Reply
She puts an arm around Betty's shoulders as best she can with the wings.
"Do you have someone to be there for you when you go into labor? Help you with your breathing, and that sort of thing?"
Reply
"I'm going to forget to breathe?" she says in horror.
Reply
"It's going to be painful. Sometimes when people are in pain, they tend to hold their breath. Thing will go much better if you breath correctly the whole time. Especially during contractions."
She hopes she's not scaring the other girl, but someone really should have gone over this with her before now.
"Just remember that women have babies every single day. It's as natural as anything else our bodies do."
She's worried about Betty. She's so young to be going through this alone.
"Do you want me to be there with you when it's time?"
Reply
"It's okay thanks. Amanda and Mal are going to be there. I just never realised there was a right and a wrong way to breathe."
She's been fighting tears off for the last half hour, and is now struggling.
"Nerdanel was helping me learn about baby things but now she's sick with a sleeping thing and won't wake up." tears start to run down her cheeks and she rubs them with her sleeve.
Reply
Sympathetic tears well up in her own eyes. She knows it's just the pregnance that's making the other girl so emotional, but this must be scary for her.
"I said I'd help you, and I will. Even if you don't learn everything before the baby comes, there's nothing wrong with learning as you go.
"I'll tell you what. I'll get that doll like I promised, and we can practice with bathing and nappies and anything else you want to learn. How about tomorrow morning?"
((ooc: which will have to actually be on Monday, in all likely hood.))

She nods, sniffs and tries to pull herself together. "Thanks. Could you possibly tell me how to breathe too please?"
Reply
She makes a mental note to check the library here for books on breathing techniques, just o make sure she knows what she's doing is right.
Reply
"Sometimes I'm feeling happy one minute, and the next I'm exhausted. And it was a bit of a shock to see Nerdanel like that. I didn't even know she'd had her baby or that anything was wrong."
Reply
"Don't worry. Everyone is tolerant of pregnant ladies, and they deserve it!"
