The boys are spending the night at Gran's, and Gary and Richard are in the bar for a quiet drink. Richard has gone over to Bar for Scotch, and brings them back to Gary. As he hands over his glass, he begins to sing...
MY GIFT IS MY SONG...
And this one's for you.And you can tell everybody this is your song

"Good to know you remember."
Then his voice changes a little, a musicality entering it as he looks to Richard.
From the first hello you gave to me
I've done nothing else but smile
And I know you're in no hurry
but its gonna take a while.
So forgive me if we go slow,
but there's something I think you should know...
I'm goin fast as I can, please don't make me rush
this feeling's coming on way too fast
I'll tell you all of the things that you'll never forget
But I'm not ready say, "I love you" yet
I'm not ready to say "I love you" yet.
Don't push me in too deep,
I've always been the fool who rushes in.
You've got to take the pieces one-by-one before you've got everything.
So forgive me if we go slow but there's something I think you should know...
I'm goin fast as I can, please don't make me rush
this feeling's coming on way too fast
I'll tell you all of the things that you'll never forget
But I'm not ready say, "I love you" yet
I'm not ready to say "I love you" yet.
Oh! There'll be times when I'm mistaken
there'll be times when we're gonna fight
but you needn't doubt we can work it out
and in time we'll get it right.
BLINK.
"Fucking Scotch."
Reply
He sips his Scotch as if to prove it.
"And there's no rush at all. I love what we've got."
Reply
"Sure enough but it's an easy enough thing to blame."
He shakes his head.
"Shit. Singing."
He raises an eyebrow at Richard.
"And you serious about that, Dick?"
Reply
"Yeah, I am. I meant what I said the other day. I liked what we had before we were shagging. Anything else is just gravy, mate."
He thumps Gary's back.

"D'you want to go home, mate?"
Reply
Because he wants Richard in their place, flopped with him on their couch, maybe listening into the football game.
Reply
"Let's go, mate."
He stands and walks to the door, opening it into their living room.
