A certain Slayer they might be interested in speaking to is in the bar.

Specifically, at the piano.

Rachmaninoff's "Russian Suite For Two Pianos," played on one with Slayer Speed.

She's into it.

Mark gets a grin on his face, rummaging around in his bag, and pulling out an Oscar. Winking at Angel, he walks over to Faith, and plunks Oscar on the top of the piano. He miiiiiiiight just be a bit smug.

That would be a gigglefit.
But will Faith hear it over the piano?

Faith has extraordinarily good hearing.

She looks up at the 'thump', and starts to grin.

"....and did you kick Spielberg like I told you to, young man?"

Joanne comes up behind Angel and Mark, boggling for a moment at the piano, and then blinking at Faith. Mmm. Not bad. She remains silent, for the moment, however.

"Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance. Although, um, he did tell me that he really did like the film." He's bright red as he says it, but he's grinning. "Angel won, Roger won, we got Best Score, I won, and we got Best Picture."

"Still don't know what the hell I'm gonna do with this thing."

Faith squeaks, jumps off the piano bench and plants a strictly friendly, but enthusiastic, kiss on Mark's mouth, then hugs Angel.

"I knew it! I knew you'd kick ass."

Woah. Mark blinks a few times, flailing at Faith's kiss. However, he just crosses his arms, beaming at her, and pulling another Oscar out of his bag, putting it on the piano along with the other. "Hey, I guess putting my life on the big screen pays off every so often." He's a brat, but really, what can you do?

Angel hugs Faith right back. "Thanks. So much. It was a blast - would've been with or without all the statuary, really."

"Hey, anything for my honorary big brother. I'm glad you had fun."

She's wearing the ring, now.

It's powerless, but still pretty.

Angel grins, then grabs Joanne's arm and pulls her into the conversation.
"You wanted the whole story? This would be who to talk to. Faith, this is Joanne. Joanne, Faith."

"Oh, so this is your fault?" Joanne grins, and holds out her hand. "Nice to meet you. I guess 'fault' is the wrong word. But still."

Faith takes Joanne's hand, shaking firmly. "That's me. Big troublemaker. Nice to meet you too."

"Her idea, more like. Trust me, four days ago I was pretty damn sure there was no way I was gonna make it to the ceremony. I mean, even here, it's a tricky business."
And Angel doesn't mind, most of the time.

"I'm really beginning to believe anything of this place." Joanne smiles. "And really, as much as he doesn't admit it, Mark over there is more confident lately. Even when we're all not thinking he's nuts."
