That's probably why they've been good.

Lincoln is always happy to see Wash. Especially because Wash has the keenest flight sims Lincoln knows about. He's been getting antsy, being Bound, and so Wash is pretty much a guarantee of a good conversation and some even more interesting activities.
...except when his face looks like that. Lincoln stops in his tracks. "Wash?"

It's not a greeting. Pale, wide-eyed, Wash's gaze is still fixed on the person at the end of the bar, and the words that follow are low and urgent and very, very frightened.
"At the Bar. Third person in from the left. Humor me for a second and tell me what he looks like."

"Um. Old guy. Funny glasses, expensive suit. Do you know him?"

And he moves.
