Salieri has not stepped in to the bar for half a year.
For Salieri, however, a bare week has passed since the last dischords had pulled him back to Vienna.
Is it... busier here, he wonders, as he looks around. It's familiar, though, and familiarity is a good thing. So is a glass of white wine, and a little bowl of sweetmeats, and a soft stool by the bar, in view of the piano.
The piano seems to be new. Hopefully it's in tune too, thinks Salieri, but he knows what music's likely to do to him in this place, and he's content to finish his drink and talk a little first.
