Molly worked for a while in the gardens this morning, and then spent some time in her room contemplating her situationShe really didn't come to any huge conclusions, so she decided to go down to the bar and get some parchment, so she could write down some of her thoughts - a journal of sorts

*He grins as he takes a seat next to her.*

"Good evening, Yrael," she smiles back. "How are you?"

*He takes the emerald green drink with a word of thanks, and sips it.*

Quite well, though bored. And you?

"I'm getting by," she says. "you could always try hanging upside down again...what's that you're drinking?"

I have been thinking of learning to speak Mandarin.

*He holds it out for her inspection.* An Atomic Cat. Pineapple juice, vodka, and some sort of tropical mix. It is very good.

*It's also the exact color of his eyes.*

"Mandarin? As in, Chinese?" she asks with a raised brow. "That sounds like quite a challenge."

She studies the drink.

"It sounds good, but what makes it green?"

The tropical mix, I believe.

She takes the offered glass and sips a little, then hands it back, licking her lips.

"It's very good," she says. "Thank you. What makes you want to learn Mandarin?"

*He pauses a moment, recalling how it should be worded.*

A friend of a friend of Enki's, alias Buckley, suggested it may help to pass the time.

She gives him and amused smile. "You want to learn Chinese simply as a way to pass time? Will you go to China when you've mastered it?"

[mogget_cat]

If I can find someone here who can open the door to there, perhaps.

*He smirks and sips his drink.*

I have only been to a few places on Earth.

"You're not from earth, then?" she asks.

[mogget_cat]

*He grins.* No.

[mollyprewett]

"You're very...inscrutable when you want to be, aren't you?"

She sips her tea and wonders if he'll elaborate.

*He gives his best cryptic look, raising one eyebrow slightly.*

"Is that an actual place? Or do you just mean not here?"

She can't seem to stop smiling.
